Description: View of Brackenbury Beach and Curtis Point looking east. This view is not of Mingo Beach. Mingo Beach was named for a slave named Robin Mingo, who was promised his freedom if the tide ever went low enouhg to walk to Aunt Becky's Ledge, just offshore. It happened the year he died.
